Bristol’s Permanent Ice Rink at Cribbs Causeway

Ice skating at Bristol's Planet Ice rink

Bristol’s Planet Ice opened its doors at Cribbs Causeway in 2021 and the sparkling new arena was a welcome addition.

The city had been without a permanent facility since the old Bristol ice rink in Frogmore Street, which was famously used by Olympic gold medallist, Robin Cousins, closed down in 2012.

Planet Ice offers public skating sessions, lessons and birthday parties.

A wide variety of lessons cater for all levels, from toddlers to advanced skaters. Some courses are exclusively for children, some for only adults and others are for families. These include:-

  • Ice skating lessons
  • School holiday skating courses
  • Ice hockey lessons
  • Synchro ice skating
  • Show and Skate
  • Dance Excellence

They also put on regular events. You may have seen our local ice hockey team, The Bristol Pitbulls, in action here.
