Sport Relief and Team Honk head to Portishead

team honk Bristol for Sport Relief

SPORT RELIEF PORTISHEAD

As the nation gets into shape for the Sport Relief weekend, Practically Perfect Mums is very pleased to be joining forces with a huge team of bloggers, friends, local businesses and supporters in a 3000 mile race in a bid to raise £20,000 for Sport Relief.

On 10th and 11th Feb Team Honk will carry the Sport Relief baton through Portishead and participants are aiming to raise as much money as they can by cycling, horse riding, dancing, running and maybe even boating along the route.

Team Honk kicked off their challenge on Sunday 12th January at Lands End, and the relay will see 38 teams pass the baton in a variety of fun and creative ways, finishing in John O Groats on Sunday 23rd March. By the end of the race over 200 participants are expected to have taken part and signed special ribbons on the Olympic themed baton.

SUPPORT AND DONATE

The baton was originally going to bypass Portishead, but I requested a little re-route so we could be involved. I’d love everyone to support us by cheering us on, sponsoring us and helping us to raise as much money as possible for Sport Relief and showing the nation what an incredibly supportive community we have here.

Fundraising is split into regions so if you’d like to help us on the way towards our local target, please click here and donate to the Bristol leg of Team Honk or

Text HONK to 70005 and donate £5 to Sport Relief

If you’re donating or joining in another way, please leave a comment below to help us see how we’re getting on.

THANK YOU!

Thank you to everyone who has already offered to help in the relay – either physically or with publicity. You know who you are and there will be a proper list of thank you’s in a subsequent post. If you’re interested in being involved please comment below.
