As little ones, all my children have had masses of great fresh-air-fun at the Lakegrounds play area and as a parent, the surrounding facilities have made it a preferred local destination.
Almost eight years on, however, our visits have become rarer. Sadly my children are outgrowing the Lakegrounds and now we often find ourselves driving outside of Portishead for age appropriate play areas.
So when I received the following letter from another local Mum I was somewhat shocked. . . .
It’s happened to the best of us. We turn our backs on our vegetable gardens just for a few days whilst away on hols and return to find an enornous marrow where only days before we had baby courgettes. So today I decided to try some of my ‘experimental cookery’. . . . and if I say so myself the results were pretty tasty!
