Missfit Exercise Classes

Sam Blackmore-Squires is the brain behind the up and coming Portishead exercise brand, ‘Missfit’.
She has a B Ed honours degree in Primary teaching and is a level 2 fitness instructor with qualifications in
  • Exercise to music
  • Adapting exercise for post/ante natal clients (Level 3)
  • Circuits/Bootcamp group training
  • Boxercise/kickboxercise/Boxercise Kids.

She’s also CRB checked, has emergency first aid training and is fully insured.

She runs a vareity of classes suitable for Mums, families, children and juniors.
BOXERCISE is circuits based,including a range of exercises and equipment: aimed at increasing fitness. It’s is not a martial art or combat class. Kids classes involve lots of age related games and fun. Punches are made in the air or as high 5’s/clapping to begin for little ones. Pad work is supervised and initially held by herself with younger children. Boxercise is safe, fun and effective.
Miss Fit Portishead
BUGGYFIT CLASSES are for post-natal mums who have had their 6-8 WEEKS GP check and are ready to commence exercise. Exercises are differentiated to suit mother’s in all post-natal phases and fitness ability.

Tuesday
6:30pm Youth Boxercise 11+ Gordano Gym £28 x 7 week block/term (£4 pw) starts 5th Nov
7:30pm Adult Boxercise £36 x 6 week block.
Wednesday

READER OFFERS
  • Adults who do one class per week get the 2nd half price. i.e if you sign up for Boxercise, a MITT session is £2.50 or if you do 2 x MITT per week it is £7.50 for both etc.

USEFUL DETAILS
All classes are for 1 hour. Pay as you go classes are £5 but require people to let me know on the day if coming to arrange equipment. A min of 5 attending is required for PAYG classes.
To book a Boxercise slot please email your/your child’s name, age and an email contact for parent pack forms and PARQ.
For PAYG classes-please send email for PARQ-questionnaire to identify any injuries/need to know info/allergies/contacts etc.

* boxercise is run as a circuits class with exercise stations. It’s in blocks terms of 6-7 weeks as progressive, 2 punches taught per week. Advanced classes run after initial 6 week block and kickboxercise runs through holidays except 2 weeks break at xmas.

* MITT- missfit interval training team aiming for Bristol 10 k next May (optional team entry) – walk/ jog/ run route plus exercise stations i.e. resistance band work/ lunges/ step ups to build stamina. Distance/ time jogging increases weekly ( half price for Boxercise clients.)
