Portishead Players’ February Production – Entertaining Angels 

12^th to 14^th February 2015 including a Saturday Matinée at Somerset Hall, Portishead.

Entertaining Angels, a witty, heart-warming play is Portishead Players’ next production. The show runs from Thursday February 12^th to Saturday February 14^th 2015 and Practically Perfect Mums has FIVE PAIRS of tickets to give away. GIVEAWAY NOW CLOSED

Staged at the Somerset Hall in Portishead’s precinct, the run includes a matinée on the Saturday. Tickets priced at just £10 per adult and £7 per junior are available online at www.portisheadplayers.ticketsource.co.uk , on the door subject to availability and at Morgan-Westley on Portishead High Street. Doors open 7pm for 7.30pm for evening performances and 1.30pm for 2.00pm matinée shows.

The production, which originally starred Penelope Keith, offers sharp-edged comedy, probing wit and poignant moments. The plot centres on a recently widowed vicar’s wife who, having spent a lifetime on her best behaviour, relishes a new-found freedom to do and say exactly as she pleases.

The play will showcase the group’s strength in character acting, technical effects and fabulous sets that are purpose built on the Somerset Hall’s stage. The production follows Portishead Players’ successful staging of “Oh What a Lovely War”.

With a hall that seats 300 and award winning shows of an exceptionally high standard, the group appeals to the town to support its performances. Local people are encouraged to attend productions staged by the self-funded group which is run by talented members of the local community.

Future Portishead Players productions for the current season are The Hollow by Agatha Christie, April 16^th – 18^th and A Night at the Musicals 14^th – 16^th May 2015. Matinées will be staged for both.
