The Bristol Hippodrome is taking part in the Family Arts Festival which is a festival designed to encourage families to enjoy the arts together over the October half term.
The festival is all about getting families involved in the arts rather than the child enjoying the activity and the parent watching from the side. They are offering the following packages which include a workshop activity and top tickets to Slava’s Snow Show at The Hippodrome.
Family Circus Workshop and Ticket to Slava’s Snow Show – Friday 1st November
Have-a-go circus workshop for the whole family! Come along and take part in a workshop at the beautiful St Paul’s Church from 3pm-5pm; ideal for children aged 5 years and upwards and adults alike! Participants will take part in a group warm-up and introductory games before splitting into smaller groups for a carousel of circus skills to include aerial (silks/trapeze), tightwire, juggling and acro-balance. A fun and active afternoon with an enjoyable and entertaining atmosphere for the whole family to enjoy.
Then come along to The Bristol Hippodrome to see the global phenomenon that is Slava’s Snowshow! Unlike anything you have seen before – a world of wonder combining hilarity and poignancy with stunning spectacle and breathtaking images. The ensemble cast of clowns use water, cobwebs, bubbles and dry ice to dazzling effect; a world of wonder in which a bed becomes a boat, a web of cotton envelops the audience and one tiny piece of paper begins a blinding, heart-stopping snowstorm that engulfs an awestruck audience in a blizzard of sparkling snowflakes. Children must be accompanied.
