Cold Water Swimming Gala
Portishead Open Air Pool
Saturday 19th December 9am-4pm
We are thrilled to be holding our first ever cold water swimming gala on the 19th December 2015. The Portishead Popsicle is a friendly competition that we hope will provide all cold water swimmers with a goal to aim for. There are events to suit all abilities, and there is also the opportunity for swimmers to challenge themselves to raise funds for charities and causes close to their hearts. There will be mulled wine, mince pies, a wood fired hot tub and, we hope, more than a bit of festive fancy dress and imaginative headgear. Places are limited, so do enter early to avoid disappointment. Spectators will also be very welcome, so come and cheer the swimmers on. You can find more details here.
And in case you missed it, here’s my little video of the Christmas lights switch on!
