Lots of you already know we are holding ‘Portishead New Faces’ first meeting at Portishead Youth Centre this Friday from 10.30.
If you’re new to the area or just fancy meeting some other Mums, Dads and their kids, then you will be very welcome!

The cafe offers a range of drinks and snacks and there has been talk of home-made cake.

Hi, I wish I’d thought of this! My daughter is 2, she came early so I missed out on antenatal classes! We attend a few classes but everybody already knows each other and it’s not easy ‘getting in’ with a group of friends that have known each other for so long! This will be a great opportunity to meet other mums and for my daughter to make some new playmates! Looking forward to it!

Over the last couple of weeks I’ve been discovering how many people are in the same boat! I only moved from Bristol but it still took a while to develop a group of friends and even now, 8 years on, I am still finding out that this person knew that person from their ante-natal group!

Hi, this sounds great, unfortunately I work so wouldn’t be able to make it, also my children are 10 – 11 now. I wish this had been available when I moved here 8 years ago as I struggled to meet people, and still do, as most of the parents I meet all grew up together in Portishead so it is easy to feel an outsider. So well done and good luck!
