Portishead Outdoor Pool

We are the envy of many, having the fabulous lido, Portishead Outdoor Pool, on our doorstep.

On a sunny day we go as a family – sometimes an extended family with grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles, keen to travel to us so they can take advantage of our local facility. It feels like we’re on a mini-holiday. We make a day of it and if we’ve brought a picnic we supplement it with (very reasonably priced) ice-lollies and snacks from the tuck shop.

If the weather’s a bit more ‘British’, the heated water still feels pleasant and after our swim we enjoy hot chocolates all round to warm us up.

If you are looking for somewhere fun to take the children swimming, our heated open air pool is always a favourite.

There’s free parking right outside all the way around the Lake Grounds

There’s a heated toddler pool available on warm days

If you’re staying all day you’re welcome to bring a picnic lunch.

Drinks, snacks, sweets and ice cream are on sale at the Tuck Shop.

Hot snacks are also available from the Lido Kitchen poolside shack at designated times.

If you fancy something more substantial, visit the adjoining Cafe Lido restaurant and cafe.
